1. About these terms

These terms apply between you and Start Travel MMC, a travel agency registered in the Republic of Azerbaijan, when you use starttravel.az or book through it. By creating an account or placing a booking you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Our role

Start Travel acts as a travel agent. We search fares through the Amadeus global distribution system and book them with the airline on your behalf. The flight itself is operated by the airline, under its own conditions of carriage, which also form part of your contract. Fare rules (baggage, changes, refunds) are set by the airline and shown to you before you pay.

3. Your account

You may book with or without an account. You can register with e-mail or sign in with Google. Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. The information you give must be true and up to date.

4. Booking and passenger details

• Enter every passenger’s name exactly as in the travel document, in Latin letters, together with the document details. Airlines may refuse boarding if the details do not match, and a corrected name may be charged as a new ticket.
• You are responsible for valid passports, visas, transit permits and health documents for every country on the route. Many countries require a passport valid for at least 6 months after the trip.
• Children and infants travel under the rules of the airline; an infant on an adult’s lap has no seat of its own.

5. Prices and payment

• Prices are shown in Azerbaijani manat (AZN); amounts in other currencies are for information, and your card is charged in AZN.
• Fares come from the airline and can change until the moment you pay. We re-check the price with the airline before payment and show you any change before you continue.
• Payment is made by card on the secure page of Kapital Bank. We never receive your card details.
• Paid extras (seats, baggage) are charged on top of the fare and shown separately before payment.

6. Ticket issuance

After the bank confirms your payment we book the flight and issue the ticket. The booking code (PNR) and e-ticket number are shown on the confirmation page and sent by e-mail. If, for a reason outside your control, the airline cannot issue the ticket at the paid price, we contact you and either offer an alternative or refund the full amount. If a seat you chose is no longer available when we book, the ticket is issued without it and the seat fee is refunded.

7. Changes, cancellations and refunds

• Changes and refunds depend on the fare rules of your ticket. Some fares cannot be changed or refunded at all; others allow it for a fee.
• To change or cancel, contact us at [email protected] or +994 50 247 54 24 before the departure of the first flight. We pass on any amount the airline refunds, less the airline’s penalties.
• Refunds are returned to the card used for payment; the time it takes depends on the airline and the bank.
• If the airline cancels or significantly changes your flight, we help you with the options the airline offers (rebooking or refund).

8. Liability

We are responsible for booking correctly what you asked for and for passing on payments and refunds. We are not responsible for the airline’s performance of the flight (delays, cancellations, lost baggage, denied boarding), which is governed by the airline’s conditions of carriage and applicable passenger-rights law, nor for losses caused by incorrect passenger data or missing travel documents. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

9. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no automated scraping, no attempts to break its security, no false or speculative bookings. We may cancel bookings and close accounts that break these rules.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Please contact us first — most issues can be solved quickly. Disputes that cannot be settled are decided by the competent courts of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force on the day of your booking applies to that booking.
